Commodity Buyer

Your Contribution:

• Address supplier issues that affect daily plant operations.
• Manage the supplier communication process.
• Coordinate change notices with the supplier.
• Responsible for commodity strategy formulation and execution.
• Responsible for cost reduction initiatives and support of PPV report.
• Communicate and coordinate supplier issues with MAHLE Behr Purchasing Team.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates per the commodity.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form with all levels of the organization. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• At least 3 years experience in Purchasing or other Supply Chain related field in an automotive environment (cross-functional exposure preferred).
• Strong time and project management, problem solving and continuous improvement skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, casting).
• Strong team player, ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid MS Office skills required.
