02_Young Professionals (technical)
BU2 Thermal and Fluid System

The activities of the former business units “Filtration and Engine Peripherals” and “Thermal Management” will be merged in the new business unit “Thermal and Fluid Systems”. Here, thermal management will be able to access production competencies in filtration developed within the group over many years, enabling it to place competitive future-oriented technologies on the market. MAHLE is committed to thermal management and intends to continue growth in this area.

An increasing electrification of the powertrain calls for superior innovative capacity in thermal management—for batteries and the entire electric powertrain alike. MAHLE is a technological pioneer when it comes to the thermal management of batteries. Our solutions ensure constant temperature levels and an even distribution of temperature between battery cells.

In Thermal Management MAHLE is one of the world's leading original equipment manufacturers today, developing cooling and air conditioning systems as well as complete thermal management solutions not only for passenger cars and commercial vehicles but also for various mobile and stationary off-highway applications.

To increase the efficiency and service life of engines, as well as to reduce emissions, MAHLE manufactures filters and pump systems as well as oil coolers for engine and transmission applications. This way we ensure clean air and prevent contamination in oil and fuel that can damage the engine. Clean supply air is also extremely important for the smooth operation of fuel cells.
