Supplier Quality Engineer - SQE

Your Contribution
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of incoming materials, as well as establishing and maintaining stable relationships with suppliers. Your role will be crucial in ensuring consistency in quality, implementing standards, and conducting analyses to meet the company's and customers' requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with suppliers regarding the quality of incoming materials, monitoring, and evaluating their performance.
- Proactively monitoring material quality and initiating improvement activities with suppliers.
- Initiating and managing material complaints towards suppliers in case of non-compliance with requirements.
- Auditing suppliers according to VDA 6.3 standards and preparing the necessary documentation.
- Preparing analyses, presentations, and reports related to supplier quality, while tracking key performance indicators.
- Actively participating in the testing and quality analysis of incoming materials in collaboration with the quality control team.
- Implementing and maintaining quality standards such as ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, as well as customer and internal corporate standards.
- Participating in internal audits, conducting analyses, and providing recommendations for improving the supplier quality system.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of new projects from a supplier quality perspective, providing support throughout all development stages.
- Reviewing, verifying, and archiving first material samples (PPAP) in accordance with requirements and procedures.
- Coordinating collaboration with measurement laboratories and institutes conducting additional material testing, ensuring accuracy and compliance of results.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- University degree in a technical field (preferably in quality management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related disciplines).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supplier quality control, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, and PPAP processes.
- Strong skills in auditing and evaluating suppliers, with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and effective collaboration with various teams.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and willingness to travel for supplier audits.
- Proficiency in the English language for both written and verbal communication.
