Lean Logistic Project Specialist

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Be a leading change agent within our European Lean Logistic Team and work closely with a on side team of local lean experts
  • Act as a driven initiator, mentor and implementer for the sites to deploy the lean mindset and to think out of the box
  • Represent, implement, and systematically improve the MAHLE Production System - (Logistic and Supply Chain)
  • Development of methodologies, systems, tools that support the reduction the inventories along the supply chain, reduction of logistic costs
  • Create tailored improvement projects to meet challenging targets and create a competitive advantage for the sites
  • Seek permanently state-of-the-art solutions from external world which could make a difference for MAHLE
  • Manage, drive and implement European projects

Your skills & strengths:

  • Master's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience including a proven track record in project management
  • Profound experience with Lean methods, such as: One Piece Flow, lean Layout, heijunka, muda-mura-muri, OEE, Problem Solving, Shopfloor-Mgmt., Six Sigma, Visual Management, VSM, Yamazumi (Line Balancing)
  • Fluent English. German or other languages would be a plus
  • Strong communication and managing skills
  • Entrepreneurial way of working, analytical skills and ability to motivate people on all levels
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel (approx. 50% within Europe)
