Product Development Engineer

Summary
Responsible for the design, development, validation, and series support of heat exchanger products ensuring compliance with Customer and Mahle requirements

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and execution of Customer programs in all phases, according to Mahle’s Product Development Process (PDP).
• Know and understand Customer specifications.
• Develop Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for products being developed and keep it updated.
• Generate Customer specification harmonization file.
• Create design (DV) and production (PV) validation plans.  
• Follow up on the build of prototype parts for Customer orders and DV testing Implement engineering changes.
• Create and release prototype and design bill of materials.
• Release prototype and engineering drawings.
• Support manufacturing locations with items related to products or components.
• Implement engineering changes.

Your Skills & Strengths:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mecatronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering or related.
• Bilingual English - Spanish.
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, PPAP.
• Product engineering experience or similar position (manufacturing, design, quality).
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Problem Solving.
