Lead Category Buyer - Cd Juarez

Your Contribution:

Supporting multiple locations throughout Mexico, the Category Buyer of Corporate Services will lead sourcing initiatives for assigned categories/sub-categories under the indirect purchasing scope of responsibility, with responsibilities potentially extending across North America locations.

• Analyze data to identify opportunities for supply consolidation and optimization for market comparison and sourcing decision.
• Lead negotiation offensive initiatives for select suppliers to secure productivity/savings.
• Lead x-functional breakout teams to facilitate savings projects, primarily focusing on external supply.
• Monitor and report savings and cost avoidances within MAHLE’s tracking database.
• Serve as an escalation point for resolving systematic and supply performance issues when not able to be resolved by the Functional/Optimization Teams.
• Participate and provide project support for global/regional projects.
• Travel to MAHLE locations within North America may be required
• Other duties may be assigned.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Working knowledge of MS Office Applications such as word, excel, power point.
• 3+ years in similar position (Automotive Industry).
• Experience in Data Analytics (PowerBi) required. 
• Knowledge of quality management system IATF 16949 and environmental management system ISO14001 are preferred.
• Experience in SAP Ariba.
