Work Preparation - Foundry Processes (m/f/d)

Your Contribution

 

As an employee in work preparation with a focus on foundry processes (m/f/d), you will take on a key role in the planning, costing, and continuous optimization of our manufacturing processes in the field of cooling and air conditioning.

 

  • Review and support design engineering with regard to manufacturability of components (tolerances, materials, manufacturing processes)
  • Create and maintain work plans including process steps and time specifications
  • Plan and design production equipment with a focus on cost efficiency, including support in supplier selection and acceptance
  • Apply lean management methods (e.g., value stream design, 5S) to optimize production processes
  • Conduct economic efficiency analyses and implement process improvements and rationalization measures
  • Support new product launches and series production
  • Contribute to supplier development to optimize cast components (sand casting and permanent mold casting)
  • Support purchasing and controlling with technical questions, cost calculations, investment planning, and capacity assessments
  • Work closely with quality management, especially in P-FMEA and failure analysis
  • Participate in workplace design and layout planning

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Successfully completed technical degree (minimum four-year university education, e.g., mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science)
  • Professional experience in work preparation or industrial engineering
  • Experience in optimizing cast components (sand casting and permanent mold casting)
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of REFA/MTM methods and lean management approaches is desirable
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding
  • Structured, analytical, and independent working style
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Fluent German and good English skills (spoken and written)
