Your Contribution
As an Account Manager, you will utilize professional selling techniques and product knowledge to drive MAHLE Aftermarket sales growth and capture additional market share in the Heavy Duty Product Segments. This position will be focused on long-term strategic account planning to effectively manage all aspects of thier customer base to increase sales revenue and profitability growth for MAHLE. 

  • Focus on Heavy Duty Market lines inclusive of all sales channels
  • Strive to sustain an inclusive environment in which employees are valued and respected
  • Develops and executes comprehensive retail sales strategy to grow market share by effectively demonstrating the value of product/service to the customer
  • Lead the development of new retail programs and initiatives that meet the demands of the aftermarket
  • Identifies customer prospects and initiates contact with targeted accounts
  • Conducts customer needs assessments and prepares and delivers presentations/proposals
  • Maintains comprehensive, technical understanding of product/service offering
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters for specific major accounts
  • May conduct negotiations with customer on pricing in accordance with agreed upon targets
  • Ensures that customer concerns are addressed appropriately and effectively
  • Undertakes all reasonable initiatives that will increase the customer’s satisfaction and retention
  • Participates in other business-related activities, including forecasts, budgets and business plans, monthly meetings, strategy definition and revisions
  • Works with Product, IT, and Finance where appropriate to develop customer solutions
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop strategic marketing campaigns and promotional support that drive overall brand awareness
  • Continually looks for ways to enhance revenue generation opportunities and increase operational efficiency of service delivery
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, strategic planning and business development
  • 5+ years experience in automotive aftermarket sales
  • Knowledge of gaskets, engine parts, filters, thermal management applications
  • Experience and understanding of the aftermarket distribution channels
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to identify and sell win-win scenarios
  • Must be a results-oriented, self starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated track record of working with customers, peers, and management to accomplish both long and short term goals
  • Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets
  • Experience building and managing customer relationships to seek out and identify new business opportunities
  • Strong time management skills
