Your Contribution

As a Head of Filtration and Thermal Product Management reporting to the Head of Global Filtration Solutions, you will be responsible for regional functions required to meet Product Group Thermal (MPTN) and Filtration (MPFN) Business objectives. Deploy global product group strategy within region. Regional responsibility for Profit and Loss for Product Group Thermal (MPTN) and Filtration (MPFN) based on aligned targets with the Head of Global Product Group and the Regional Director. Responsible for further developing the Filtration and Thermal business in North America, gaining market share while managing Profit and Loss.

  • Strategy and Management
    • Accountable for deploying the global product group strategy on a regional level to increase the profitability of the Parts Business
    • Develop the regional product group strategy rooted in data and market intelligence, aligned on a global level with other regions
    • Collaborate with and motivate other heads on the implementation of MAHLE’s, and more specifically, the Aftermarket’s strategic and operational plans
    • Maintain and continually develop a competitive and profitable product portfolio that integrates new products, addressing regional trends, competitor activities and customer requirements
    • Leverage synergies between parts business and service solutions to enable cross-selling.
    • Align all Go-to-Source functions within region including product management, purchasing, product cost and margin management, product marketing and engineering, if applicable
  • Product Life Cycle Management
    • Responsible for implementing product life cycle management and ensuring a competitive portfolio
    • Deploy regional sourcing strategy aligned with global strategy according to market needs, product & service offerings and MAHLE’s OE competence
    • Ensure a timely new product introduction according to customer expectations
    • Accountable for product specifications and all engineering // reverse engineering activities within regional product group, if applicable
    • Accountable for operational data management including product master data, coverage, competitor data, cross referencing and cataloguing.
  • Purchasing, Quality and Controlling
    • Interface with Head of Global Product Purchasing to achieve global synergies through bundling volumes and supplier development activities
    • Interface with Head of Global Product Quality to ensure product quality and that the OE reputation of MAHLE is reflected in the regional product group
  • Private label competitor accounts
    • Accountable to achieve turn over and results for private label sales to our main competitors
  • Interface with Head of Global Product Controlling to ensure cost transparency, portfolio profitability as well as full value chain contribution. Ensure appropriate cost allocation to the region

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s is required. Master’s degree in business or technical field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry and/or automotive aftermarket
  • 5+ Experience in product management, purchasing, procurement or related field
  • Experience with Aftermarket, products, sales channels, and customers
  • Business planning & development, strategy and budget management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Analytical & Strategic thinking
  • Process and structure-oriented
