Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to support activities that relate to machine or system repair of serial production manufacturing.
  • Provide controls engineering support to all plant departments.Troubleshoot production issues; assist &/or direct maintenance controls/electrical/electronic issues on the manufacturing floor related to serial production.
  • Analyze equipment operating data to ensure equipment is operating as close to design parameters as possible.
  • Participate in MAHLE Production Systems (MPS) activities in manufacturing areas (Kaizen events, cleaning boards, OEE, etc.)
  • Create complete and accurate process documentation and manufacturing instructions. Prepare clear & concise technical/non-technical material (reports, presentations, etc.)
  • Research and implement improvements in the cost, quality or delivery of our products.
  • Supports and/or installs PLC and PC software applications, e.g., Control Logbq Device Net and Panel Builder, Allen Bradley and Siemens Controls
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot issues, and support maintenance activities related to serial production. 

Your Sills & Strengths

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as Controls Engineer
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of electrical & controls engineering design and of related Federal, State and Local Laws, codes and regulations.
  • Experience with electrical & controls hardware/software components & applications (e.g. PLC / HMI appl., PC software appl., VFD controls, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley & Siemens components, applications, controls & communication protocols.
  • Experiences with lean manufacturing, JIT, OEE, line sequencing, KANBAN, etc.
