Your Contribution

 

As an Area Sales Manager, you drive commercial development in your region, manage distributor portfolios, and support sustainable revenue and margin growth while strengthening MAHLE’s market presence.

 

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of distributors within your assigned territory.
  • Achieve sales, margin, profitability, and recovery targets.
  • Implement commercial actions including promotions, field visits, product push activities, and local negotiations.
  • Identify growth opportunities and successfully introduce new products to the market.
  • Implement the commercial strategy and support distributor sales teams through training, joint visits and commercial activities.
  • Achieve sales, margin, profitability and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of customers, prospects and key accounts (negotiation, offers, follow‑up, recovery).
  • Identify profitable business opportunities while safeguarding margins.
  • Provide regular reporting, conduct market and competitor analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Cooperate closely with internal teams (Customer Service, Logistics, Marketing, Finance) and handle sector-related disputes.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Business degree (Bac+2 equivalent minimum) or at least 2 years of relevant commercial experience; automotive/aftermarket knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong command of MS Office and confidence preparing commercial proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer orientation and ability to manage priorities.
  • Organized, autonomous, strategic, team‑oriented and proactive, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
  • Fluent French; English is an advantage for collaboration within the Group.
