Manager - In Process Quality Assurance

Your Contribution

• In-process Quality Assurance:
• Sound knowledge in CNC machining and hands on experience resolving the machining issues.
• To facilitate and manage customer & internal quality concerns and the implementation of robust corrective actions which will prevent re-occurrence.
• Active participation in Customer complaint management for Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation within the defined timeline.
• Implementation of Preventive measures like poke yoke for the potential rejections or failures.
• Sound knowledge and hands on experience in SPC and monitoring the process.
• Quality audits: Conduct regular internal quality audits like process and product audits to assess compliance with quality management systems (QMS) and identify areas for improvement and implementing the corrective actions for the audit points.
• Responsible for releasing the line for production.
• Experience in handling setup approval, first off approval and PDA.
• Experience in monitoring & Handling In-process dimensional checks and initiating suitable actions.
• Active participation in analysing the internal rejections and implementing the Corrective actions.
• Good knowledge in measuring instruments and measurement methods.
• Training and development: Train production personnel on quality standards, inspection procedures, and proper handling of products to ensure consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Process improvement initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implement lean manufacturing practices, and reduce scrap rates.
• Reporting and analysis: Generate reports on quality metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends to provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Liaise between internal departments, and external suppliers, to ensure the quality requirements of the customers / production lines to ensure the requirements are met.
•  Provide technical quality support to all internal departments.

• Ensure the controls in place and introducing new controls.
• Managing production shop to ensure quality requirements.

• Customer PPM within defined targets
• Customer complaints within defined targets
• % of Internal rejections within the target.
• Adherence of the internal audit plan.

Your Experience and Qualification

• BE/B. Tech. (Mech/Manufacturing engineering/Material)
• Minimum 10 -15 years’ experience in Machining shop for Casting and Forged components.
• Tamil and English read and write
• Excellent in time-management & team handling abilities.
