Your Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead a Global department of Electric / Electronic Development and System Engineering teams for Electrical AC Compressor product segment. (E/E Engineers in North America, Lockport-NY (USA) and Europe, Valencia-ES).
- Responsible for the Electric / Electronic Development teams for the AC Electrical Compressor product segment (including supplier monitoring) and System Engineering team, ensuring proper Design to Quality, Design to Manufacture, Design to Safety and Design to Cost mindset.
- Organize the department structure and continuous improvement of its maturity
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a frictionless collaboration between them
- Define and align with Management / PM and Product Managers the KPI templates for the specific Domain
- Plan (anticipate) and follow the adequacy between workload and resource for the team
- Define required team setup per project and associated staffing
- Help the organization to define the next technology and allow us to be at the forefront of the market.
- Manage external suppliers
- Mentoring and training of the department team members team members
Your Skills & Strengths:
- Bachelor degree above, major in Electronics Engineering, Automation or similar.
- Expert in automotive high voltage inverter design (400V to 800V) and its components.
- Expert in auto industry insight, product knowledge and advantage.
- Be familiar with the leading technology of the market and benchmarking.
- Experience in automotive electronics development, power electronics topologies and hardware design, embedded software development, functional, thermal, electrical and EMC validation.
- Experience in working in a V model development process (ASPICE, CMMI).
- Lead more than 4 projects put in production and be able to handle more than 2 projects in parallel.
- Experience in international team management with more than 10 team members.
- Participation in product portfolio strategy.
- Knowledge of Automotive Environmental Validation normative, Automotive Quality Standards: VDA 6.3 and AIAG normative, deliverables for PPAP and PSW, Automotive SPICE processes and Functional Safety (ISO26262).
- Fluent English both written and verbal.
- Travel frequency: Quarterly to the other 2 R&D locations(Europe and USA), 4 to 6 times a year in average.
