EHS Coordinator
Summary
Health (H), Safety (S) & Environment (E) Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, implementing and maintaining a variety of H,S & E programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations. This role is a stickler for details and ensuring the team members work in compliance with all policies and procedures which support certification to ISO-14001:2015. This role is highly visible within the business and shall actively participate in Gemba’s and work with other department managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains policies, procedures, records, programs and reporting related to health, safety &

environment (HSE) practices and requirements.

Ensures all federal, state and local HSE laws, codes and regulations are observed and followed.

Stays current on code and/or regulation changes and recommend updates to policies and procedures as appropriate.

Communicate and train employees on HSE requirements.

Serves as the ISO 14001:2015 site representative.

Able to communicate policy clearly and efficiently while working collectively to resolve issues within the work environments.

Ensures work environments are safe, organized, and meet legal obligations.

Performs other duties as required and/or requested.

Maintain emergency response plans and respond to emergencies as needed.
Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, health & safety, or a related field.

Direct related experience is a plus but not required.
Other Qualifications (not required but helpful)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
