Your Contribution

 

As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will be responsible for procurement and sourcing activities in alignment with production plans and purchasing requirements. You will also oversee import-export operations to meet customer demands and enhance production efficiency. This role involves inventory control, raw material planning, demand forecasting, purchase order management, and timely material delivery.

 

  • Liaise with domestic and international vendors to obtain product and service information, including pricing, specifications, and lead times.
  • Conduct price negotiations and resolve shipment discrepancies for both PM (Production Materials) and NPM (Non-Production Materials).
  • Support NPM users in coordinating with foreign suppliers regarding quotations, delivery schedules, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with shipping agents to plan and manage the importation of goods from overseas.
  • Review import documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations, including tariff rates and import license requirements.
  • Prepare and submit necessary import documents (e.g., Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin) to shipping agents.
  • Monitor shipment status and collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.

 

Your Experience & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and procurement.
  • Good command of English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of raw material purchasing, import-export procedures, and customs clearance.
  • Familiarity with production processes and ISO standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized.
  • Willingness to work on-site at MAHLE Engine Components (Thailand) Co., Ltd. – Serithai Road, Bangkok.
