Maintenance Manager - Automotive Manufacturing (MECT)
Your Contribution
You will lead and manage all maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, cost‑effective, and energy‑efficient operation of manufacturing facilities, equipment, and utilities while driving continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Oversee all maintenance processes, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Manage and control the maintenance budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained to the highest operational standards.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify, diagnose, and resolve issues promptly.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all repair, installation, and upgrade activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, with strong emphasis on environmental health and safety (EHS).
- Assign work schedules, prioritize tasks, and evaluate repair cost estimates.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
- Oversee inventory of spare parts and supplies; manage procurement and vendor relationships as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development within the maintenance department.
- Utilize maintenance management systems (CMMS or similar) to track work orders, asset history, and performance metrics.
- Drive and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability projects to reduce utility consumption and environmental impact.
- Monitor and analyze energy usage data, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions to optimize energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote energy awareness and support company-wide sustainability goals.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry or similar manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Proven experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting, with solid understanding of cost control and financial impact.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and digital tools.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Thai & English (spoken and written) is required for cross-functional collaboration and vendor coordination.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with energy management, energy-saving technologies, or sustainability initiatives is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on‑site at MAHLE Engine Components (Thailand) Co., Ltd. – Serithai Road, Bangkok.
