Operator - Plating Racker - 2nd Shift
SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing, hanging and unloading racks, inspecting bearings and packaging as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produces parts according to work instructions
- Verify and check pan-card information to bearing part number, blueprint, revision level, and give to inspector
- Load racks onto plating machine as needed for processing product to blueprint
- Inspects parts according to the control plan and gauging instructions
- Stops process if non-conforming product is being produced and sorts non-conforming parts and separates them clearly from conforming parts, apply defect code on parts and mark defect
- Notify supervisor or quality department immediately about unusually high numbers of defective parts or any other disturbances
- Keep equipment and work area clean
- Follow all procedures and instructions
- Wears required Personal Protective Equipment
- Performs tasks as assigned by the Coordinator or Supervisor that are related to his/her discipline or a result of company necessities
- Shift differential of $1
- Work overtime as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
